Sustainable Green Printing Partnership Brings a Vision for a Sustainable Future to Global Shop 2017

SGP will present its certified printers and illustrate their role in creating a more sustainable supply chain for today’s leading brands.

Fairfax, VA – The Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP), will highlight its certified green printing facilities and brand leader program at Global Shop 2017. Global Shop takes place at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas NV, March 28th-30th. SGP will be on site to answer questions and greet printers and brands at booth 2124.

“Our goal at Global Shop is to empower brands to dramatically improve their sustainability profile by engaging with printers who meet the rigorous demands of SGP certification,” said Brittany Sutphin, Executive Director of SGP. “With the states of New York and Wisconsin already basing print procurement (or selection of printers) on their ability to meet SGP certification criteria, we see the advantages and efficiencies that leveraging SGP printers can have on sustainability programs.”

SGP is recognized as a global leader in eco-friendly innovation and best practices for the printing industry. In addition to certifying printers who comply with rigorous environmental best practices, the organization conducts conferences, seminars, academic studies, and sharing sessions to help print manufacturers and print buyers create sustainable supply chains.

On the evening of Wednesday, March 29th, SGP will be sponsoring the Sustainable Visual Design event hosted by Board Member, Libra Balian, Sr. Director of Marketing Operations and Kris Hentnik, Sr. Print Production and Marketing Operations at ANN INC. This special event will bring together elite retail visual design professionals from leading brands to discuss methods of designing for sustainability – using sustainable practices, materials, printers and fabricators – and keeping this top of mind as unstated criteria on every project.

Print facilities interested in eliminating waste, reducing energy consumption, transitioning to sustainable materials, and winning new business from organizations that require sustainable printing practices from their suppliers should visit SGP at Global Shop booth 2124 or visit www.sgppartnership.org/certification/ to learn more about becoming SGP certified in 2017.
