Mapal Plastics Joins SGP Community as Silver Patron

The Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP), the leading authority in sustainable printing certifications for print manufacturers, announced Mapal Plastics is the latest SGP Patron at the silver level. Through patronage, Mapal Plastics along with other industry leaders dedicated to promoting sustainability, support SGP and keep costs low for certification of print facilities.

Mapal Plastics manufactures Polypropylene (PP) sheet intended for UV digital, litho offset and screen print for signage, POP & displays. Mapal products are recyclable and are cost-competitive, corona treated and come with a one-year outdoor UV warranty against yellowing. Mapal is committed to only using materials that can be recycled and offering products made from recycled materials. Striving to minimize the carbon footprint of their production process, Mapal Plastics maintains a commitment to improving products and production methods to meet the needs of their customers, while protecting the environment.

“When we learned about SGP, we knew it was the perfect organization to join. We feel we can add value to the members by introducing our new recyclable products as a great alternative to other non-recyclable products,” said Brent Bishop, vice president of sales & operations, Mapal Plastics, North America. “SGP certified facilities and the SGP community strive to be more sustainable and that is also our goal at Mapal Plastics.”
