Sustainable Green Printing Partnership Welcomes Notable Brands to its Partnership for Sustainable Print Dinner

The dinner will bring together over a dozen retailers, printers and sustainable print advocates for an evening of conversations.

SAYVILLE, NY – November 1, 2017 – The Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP) is pleased to announce that they will be hosting the Partnership for Sustainable Print dinner immediately following their Community Day conference on November 14th in Portland, Oregon. The dinner will feature inspiring conversations on all things sustainable with leading brands, sustainable print providers and current and prospective SGP members. The invitation-only event will be held at Cooper’s Hall from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m.

“We are celebrating the commitment of brands specifying SGP criteria for their printers. Brands and print buyers can seek to reduce their environmental impact and improve their sustainability metrics through their purchasing decisions,” said Marci Kinter, SGP Executive Committee member and technical committee chair, “Identifying a ‘sustainable’ printer can be complicated, which is why the SGP certification criteria assure companies are working with the most sustainable printers in North America and beyond.”

By using SGP-certified printers, brands find it easier to bring their supply chain to a higher level of sustainability achievement. “SGP certification helps brands and top retailers operate in an environmentally responsible way,” said Jonathan Graham, SGP Foundation chair. “By using SGP printers for marketing and packaging, companies can immediately strengthen their sustainability efforts.”

The organization’s goal is for attendees to be inspired by the discussions on infusing sustainability into supply chains and operations and achieving sustainability from a cost neutral or savings perspective. “The dinner and program will be an enjoyable networking event building the concept of community among top retailers in North America,” says Kinter.

Prior to the dinner, SGP will host SGP Community Day at the Duniway Hotel. Topics will include sustainable procurement, ROI from sustainability efforts and more. For more information, please visit https://sgppartnership.org/events/
