PolyCello, a family owned business established in 1956, has been an industry leader in flexible packaging for over fifty years, helping great companies in North America build successful brands. Our Amherst, Nova Scotia facility is the largest printing facility of its kind in Canada.

PolyCello continues to introduce new products to its customers, including MicroPack™ Steamable packaging, recyclable SmartPack™ packaging (replacing millions of landfill-bound laminated products), and wide range of full-featured, multi-web stand up packages.

PolyCello was North America’s first ISO 14001 registered flexographic printer, is ISO 9001 certified, and is a multi-year award winner at the annual Flexographic Technical Association’s annual competition.

Products produced at this facility:
PolyCello produces a full range of flexible packaging for the frozen food, food service, pet food, towel and tissue, lawn and garden. We offer mono and co-extruded film, printed rollstock in surface and reverse print, stand-up pouch, shrink film and SmartPack™ Recyclable Packaging, lamination and converted pouches, zippered, wicketed and side weld bags.

Printing Processes used at this facility:
PolyCello utilizes 10 high-speed flexographic presses with a print width range from a minimum of 13″ to a maximum of 62″with print repeats from a minimum of 12 1/4″ to a maximum of 52″. Line and process printing up to 10-color maximum plus combinations with computer controlled ink blending, dispensing and matching system. Besides our VOC-free solventless lamination we also offer an in line electron beam cured solventless coating.

PolyCello’s award-winning, in-house prepress department uses the ESKO digital workflow and on-site platemaking capabilities.
